Country’s Pride

Upon the past of decades known,

Red, White, and Blue was shown.

But did they show the perilous fights

That some did not come home?

Thousands of troopers on land and sea,

The land was spilling red.

Some lived and saw another day,

While some showed up dead.

Men and women’s sacrifices,

Firing guns ablaze.

Knowing that they might miss,

Seeing their family’s face.

Some might cry because of war,

And some still feel the pain.

Losing friends and allies,

It will never be the same.

Entering the battlefield with heads filled with pride.

Fighting for the U.S.A. you know we’re on your side!

Even though you might feel sad, hold your head up high.

You have helped America; YOU ARE our country’s pride.
